Ben Gamble is a self-described technology sommelier — his real skill is pairing the right technologies together, and knowing which cheese goes with them. He's spent his career in open source and data streaming, building the fast, reliable systems underneath logistics platforms, multiplayer worlds, and real-time data pipelines. focusing on solving the actual problem in front of the user. Off the clock, he builds video games, collects trading cards, and is reliably outnumbered by his children and his ducks

I build Open source tools for flink and kafka, I train people, give talks and move. Formerly Field CTO at Ververica, I have been on committees for many conferences and write about the space.
