Biography

"I am a senior AI and Data Science leader with over 18 years of experience shaping enterprise-scale AI, data, and real-time streaming solutions. My work sits at the intersection of AI innovation, governance, and financial technology, where I design systems that are scalable, compliant, and future-ready.

Across my career, I have combined deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver impact: architecting advanced and complex machine learning systems, streaming platforms with Apache Kafka, embedding AI governance frameworks into enterprise workflows, and leading data-driven transformations in highly regulated industries.

Key contributions include:

  1. Authoring three books on Observability in Finance, Real-Time Streaming with Kafka, and Practical Machine Learning with R, reflecting both technical mastery and industry foresight.

  2. Holding a Doctor of Engineering (AI) from SMU and an M.Tech (Knowledge Engineering) from NUS, awarded the SPH Gold Medal and Book Prize.

  3. Experience in AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks that align with MAS FEAT, PDPA, and the EU AI Act.

  4. Recognized as a Top Women in Tech Leader in Asia (2025) for advancing Gen AI adoption.
