Danica currently leads open source advocacy at Snowflake supporting open source technologies and communities, including Apache Iceberg™, Apache Polaris™ (incubating), Streamlit, TruLens, and Postgres, among others. In the past, Danica was a software engineer in data visualization, warehousing, and streaming before pivoting to Developer Advocacy in Apache Kafka® and Apache Flink®.

Danica is quite active in the open source community, particularly amongst the Apache Iceberg™, Apache Kafka®, and Apache Flink® projects. She currently serves the Iceberg community in supporting their yearly Iceberg Summit conferences, expanding their global meetup presence, and finding ways to collaborate with other projects in the ecosystem through events, blog-writing, and videos.
