Dave is a developer advocate who loves helping Python developers take advantage of streaming data. Dave has also been an application developer, project manager (recovered), trainer, conference speaker, co-author of Kafka in Action, and a homeschooling father of fourteen children. If he had any spare time, he’d enjoy hiking, reading, and playing with the grandchildren.

Dave has been actively involved in the Kafka/Confluent community since 2019 as a Confluent customer, a Confluent employee, and a Confluent alumni. He helps to organize the St. Louis Apache Kafka Meetup and speaks at various meetups and conferences on Kafka and related data technologies.
