Biography

David has worked in open source since 2016, as an Apache Atlas committer, then an Egeria maintainer, a PyTorch contributor. He is now contributing to Apache Flink and is passionate about improving the Flink community health.

David has presented at many conferences including Open Source Summit and IBM Think. He is keen to promote innovation and has filed 2 patents with IBM.

David is enthusiastic about his work with IBM and open source and is enjoying learning and growing as an open source developer. David also enjoys Transactional Analysis and psychotherapy; particularly how people transform.

Involvement in the community

David is involved with the Flink community, and is leading the Community Health Initiative workgroup; those goal is to improve the community health. He has made over 400 contributions this year, including 2 Flips, FLIP-532: Donate GetInData HTTP Connector to Flink and FLIP-518: Introduce a community review process.
