With more than 23 years of experience, I have been a co-founder of several successful startups. I have also been C-level in many small and medium sized companies.

I have played on the back end, on the front end, on mobile, and as Dev Ops. I love programming languages, like Rust and specially functional languages like Clojure, Elixir and Scala. As an IT recruiter I have built highly cohesive teams. I am the author of several books related to massive data processing.

Raúl has supported the Apache Kafka community since late 2015. He has written several books on Apache Kafka. He has contributed by organizing several Apache Kafka Meetups in Mexico City. He has contributed several PRs for KSQLdb. He participated in a video related with being Community Catalyst. He has been previously Confluent Community Catalyst Generation 2020, 2021 and 2022.
