With more than 23 years of experience, Rahul has been a co-founder of several successful startups. He has also been C-level in many small and medium sized companies.

He has played on the back end, on the front end, on mobile, and as Dev Ops. He loves programming languages, like Rust and specially functional languages like Clojure, Elixir and Scala. As an IT recruiter he has built highly cohesive teams. He is the author of several books related to massive data processing.

Raúl has supported the Apache Kafka community since late 2015. He has written several books on Apache Kafka. He has contributed by organizing several Apache Kafka Meetups in Mexico City. He has contributed several PRs for KSQLdb. He participated in a video related with being Community Catalyst. He has been previously Confluent Community Catalyst Generation 2020, 2021 and 2022.
