Shuva Jyoti Kar is a Principal Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, working across distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, streaming data, observability, and secure AI infrastructure. He is a Confluent Catalyst and ClickHouse Community Champion, an open-source contributor, international speaker, and author of Manning’s Agent Skills in Action and Apress’s The Agentic Mind. He focuses on turning complex production lessons into practical architectures and reusable engineering guidance.

As a Confluent Catalyst, I contribute through technical writing, conference talks, architecture discussions, and production examples. I share lessons on event-driven architecture, Kafka pipelines, CDC, observability, and distributed-system reliability, helping practitioners evaluate design and operational trade-offs. I also review open-source Confluent components for security vulnerabilities and have helped remediate two findings through responsible disclosure. I amplify useful community work and bring practitioner feedback into discussions on developer experience and production readiness.
