Bobby has a background in functional programming and event-based system design, and started Evident Systems to combine the best ideas from both of these communities to solve business problems. Previously, Bobby worked at Capital One, Cognitect (acquired by Nubank), Booz Allen Hamilton, and several startups.

This year, Bobby developed a course for Confluent Developer called Practical Event Modeling. Bobby regularly speaks at Kafka Summit/Current and local meetups.
