"Bobby works as a Senior Director of Architecture at JPMorgan Chase where he helps design next-generation core banking platforms.

Bobby is also the founder of Evident Systems, which helps companies solve complex problems using simple event-driven systems. As a Confluent Partner, Bobby developed the course Practical Event Modeling as well as consulting with Confluent customers.

Before JPMorgan Chase and Evident Systems, Bobby was a Distinguished Engineer on the Technology Fellows team at Capital One, where he designed and developed solutions to difficult problems, influenced the technical direction of Capital One while helping development teams implement that direction, and engaged the broader technical community via speaking and open-source contribution. Prior to Capital One, Bobby worked on the Product Team at Cognitect building, testing, and helping customers win with Clojure, ClojureScript, and Datomic.

Bobby enjoys writing software in Rust, Kotlin, and especially Clojure."

Bobby trains on Kafka, Stream Processing, and Event Modeling both in pubic meetups and private corporate settings. Bobby has also written for the Confluent blog, spoken at various Kafka Summit and Current conferences, and produced a video course for Confluent Developer.
